Billy is NO longer available!

Billy has warmed his way into the hearts of a young teenage boy and his family!  :)
This lovely male Billy is very dear!  He will retrieve a toy after it is thrown and bring it right back to whomever has thrown it.  While on lead he will follow my hand signal to walk into place on my left side and sit.  While we walk with Billy on the left side he will look up at me "checking in" so to follow my directions.  He is very biddable and is a quality I would like someone to continue.  All dogs need Leadership and when a dog offers this it would be a real shame for someone to let a great dog like this down.  Billy also respects other dogs which again is a great quality.  He loves to play on a toddler playground going up the little three stairs and then down the slide.  Billy has super agility desires.  If you are this wonderful home then we would love to hear from you.  :)

Two Months Old Today!

Today we all followed our foster mom to the vehicle where we surprised her by jumping in on our own accord much to her surprise while she was placing our breakfast in our crates!  After we finished our breakfast on wheels we had a nap as it is always a good thing to rest before and after our meals.

After about 20 minutes we remained in our crates for safe traveling for a car ride to a friends house as we are not vaccinated yet and our foster mom wanted us to have a safe outing which wasn't a heavily traveled area by other dogs for fear of parvo or other diseases as being young puppies our immunity system is very vulnerable still.

Our foster mom quickly ran around scooping up any items we would surely find interesting like mushrooms which may be poisonous!  We ran around their fully contained yard with much delight and curiosity tumbling over each other in play and barking in our excitement.

We drove back home all happy and content. We remained in the vehicle where we were safe and warm for about another 20 minutes then we were able to potty in our outside potty and play area.

For our lunch as we are fed every four hours for four meals daily our foster mom had us work for it while on leash. We also sat on our own and our foster mom said "yes" rewarding us with a piece of our lunch each time!  She says we are a very clever bunch that she is very happy with.

We are encouraged outside approximately every 20 minutes while we play as we still do not always know to run to the door or hold it!  Our foster mom does her best to not set us up for failure on our house breaking however we are babies and it is up to her or our new care takers to give us our best chances for success!

After a nap in the later afternoon we were carried up the street in safe arms where we enjoyed the views, new smells, new people and different noises. Being babies we require a lot of sleep to grow strong and be happy making our new families happy as well!  We slept about 7 hours last night in our crates which made our foster mom really happy too!

Puppies require a clean source of water available at all times.  Our foster mom uses stainless steel as they clean up better than plastic with no worry of bacteria or the possibility of puppy chewing the dish!

New Years Day - 1st time outside

First outing
It was so nice and mild after the cold time we had that we all went outside today for the first time!  We had a great time exploring the outside world under protection of course as one never knows what dangers may be out in that great wondrous world!  Things like owls and eagles, coyotes or other dogs, skunks, raccoons, mushrooms, bad water with coccidia and giardia or bad people for as puppies we are very vulnerable and curious.

We were encouraged outside 5-6 times today to potty in the great outdoors instead of in our area pen on the newspaper which we have been using about 75% of the time for the last two and a half weeks.

A busy day today to top it off with the vacuum cleaner during positive reinforcement.  We were ready for a nap and we quite happily choose this spot on top of a grooming table collapsed on the floor.  Our foster mom saw the moment so put the rest of us to complete that special moment!

Standard Poodle Mix Rescue

Introduction
Our mom was thankfully rescued and placed in safe hands.   Upon suspicions it was confirmed with a vet check that we were to arrive into this wonderful world!  Our father is suspected to be a Labrador Retriever and Border Collie Mix?

Our mom is a healthy and happy Standard Poodle who is up to date on her vaccines.  She has thankfully nursed and cared for us very well.

Our foster mom is providing us with lots of life experiences!  We are 6 weeks old today being New Years Eve.  We have been bathed, some clipping, nails trimmed and dremeled in a positive way so we are not afraid of grooming :)

Crating
We love using our crates where our foster mom feeds us to insure us to be good puppies so we do not get into trouble or into danger while not being supervised in our new homes.  We would love to continue to use our crates throughout our lives to keep it a good positive place or a safe sanctuary of our own to get away from situations we are not comfortable in or just need a puppy nap as we too need our rest. It is also a less stressful experience for when the time comes that we are desexed at the veterinarians or toes and paws crossed that we never need to go to the vets overnight for any other circumstance!

Positive Reinforcement
We want homes that use positive reinforcement only please and thank you, to give us great Leadership so we are the best canines that we can possibly be.  We do not want to be tied outside to a tree or left outside in a doghouse or garage away from our "family pack".  Please do not apply to give us a home if that is how we will be treated.  We want a forever home to receive good care, moderate exercise as we grow, structure, leadership, kindness and love.

Bragging rights
We are healthy, happy full tail wagging puppies with sweet loving temperaments that love children and are good with cats. Some of us have a retrieving ability and some have obedience abilities however all of us will make wonderful pets!  Now that is something to brag about!  :)
